Transforming Tomorrow's Workforce
Travelers EDGE®, our signature education-to-career pipeline program, marked its 15th anniversary in 2022. More than 150 people attended an event to honor the achievements of our Travelers EDGE scholars and alumni.
Travelers EDGE – which stands for Empowering Dreams for Graduation and Employment – increases access to higher education for underrepresented students and builds awareness of careers in insurance and financial services. It does this through partnerships with schools, universities/colleges, and community organizations, providing participants in Connecticut, Georgia, Maryland and Minnesota with a holistic support system that ranges from financial assistance to internships.
In addition to providing students with opportunities for professional development, skill-building and networking with employees, the program helps drive inclusivity at Travelers.
Since 2007, Travelers EDGE has supported more than 500 scholars, 314 of whom have graduated from college.
Travelers EDGE has been acknowledged as an exemplar by practitioners in the college and career readiness space. In 2022, for example, Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship noted in a case study review that Travelers EDGE is "exceptional in many ways."
